Legion Interactive is a content and solution provider. Recently, under my guidance, Legion has repositioned itself as a major player in the WAP and SMS arena, providing both total and partial solutions to major Telcos and others. The systems and methods put in place will be rolled out to other Legion offices worldwide to offer further services.

 

Ø       Prime responsibility to evaluate new and emerging technologies in the IT&T industry and to develop applications and services utilizing these technologies.

Global IT Manager

Until recently, Princeton Economics was known for its market forecasting with Cresvale International the global trading arm. Due to unresolved circumstances beyond the companies control, the group was placed in liquidation and sold off as individual entities while various court cases are awaiting hearing in the USA. At the beginning of this year, I managed the technical wind-down of the group including asset sales and the return/removal of all equipment and services we had built up over the previous 12 months.

Special Project Manager

Left to join Cresvale as Global IT manager after an offer from NatWest’s previous CFO. Dresdner was currently on its fourth local IT Director and third Global Head of IT at the time of my leaving, which was proving to be unproductive.

 

Ø       Initially responsible for developing application to produce Daily P&L and management reports from Istar daily data feeds and interfacing to other trading systems such as Imagine, Fox and proprietary systems. After completion, progressed to assist all areas of the company resolve various technical issues and to develop and implement better practices and methodologies through technology.

Ø       Assisted in regional and local infrastructure and market data projects such as migration of all users to Windows NT 4, Exchange server and developing standards for hardware definition and package profiles.

Ø       Designed and developed an asset management system (Barcode scanning etc), an online Helpdesk application and other utilities. Involved in all purchasing and outsourcing.

NatWest Markets Equity division was sold on a global basis to DMG.

 

Ø       Responsible for developing applications to produce both on-shore and off-shore Daily P&L’s, Capital Adequacy, Risk Management, Stock Positions, Liquidity, Volatility, Options, and Commission and funding reports from Istar daily data feeds.

Ø       Developed systems to Reconcile Istar settlement system to Imagine trading system, Imagine to Riskbook trading system, Imagine to GES (Natwest’s Global Equity System) and Imagine to GDS (Global Derivative System). 

Ø       Consolidated information from independent pricing sources, such as Reuters, Fame and Bloomberg into a centralized database for historical pricing and reporting.

Ø       Developed automated systems to present information for audits and price reviews in requested report formats.

Ø       Developed department Intranet to facilitate daily reporting process. Software used includes Perl ver 5, Sybase 11, MS Access (2,7,8), MS Excel, VB (4,5), Hummingbird basic (Exceed), Reuters DDE, Bloomberg DDE, NT (3.51,4).
